Pastor Rice has served in many vital areas of ministry since his call to ministry while still in high school. In addition to his significant work as State Youth and Christian Education Director for the Church of God in Arkansas (1978 - 82) and North Georgia (1982 - 85) he served as senior pastor of the Pleasantdale Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia (1992 - 1998). Prior to that he served as Resident Pastor of the Mount Paran North congregation in Marietta, Georgia (1988 - 92). His preparation for these pastorates included directing a metro-wide church planting ministry called "Love Atlanta" in which he was instrumental in establishing 22 new churches from 1985 to 1988.

He has also been a member of many strategic community and denominational boards and committees, including chairmanship of the Mount Paran Christian School Board of Directors (1989 - 1994), Lee University Board of Directors (1986 - present), General Youth and Christian Education Board (1984-86), Christian Council of Metropolitan Atlanta Board of Directors (1987 - 1993), and North Georgia Church of God State Council (1992 - 1996).

Dieter Knospe became Field Director of Europe: Central & Eastern/CIS in 1994. He is a native of Germany and served there as a pastor, evangelist, and editor/publisher from 1961-74. From 1974-94 he was the overseer of Germany and for the last year of his tenure also served as superintendent of the Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet Union). He is a former member of the World Missions Board.

First credentialed in 1971 and ordained a Bishop in 1979, Jake Popejoy has served in a number of ministry roles both in the US and abroad.  Reverend Popejoy has served as Missionary/Overseer to Italy, Scotland and Ireland.  Other ministry activities abroad include Servicemen’s Center Director in England, Italy and Germany.   Additionally, Reverend Popejoy worked for two years in underground evangelism in Bulgaria during the communist regimes of the 1980s.

Returning to the US in 1986 he was appointed pastor of the Solway (Knoxville), TN Church of God.  In 1993 he was appointed by the Executive Committee to serve as Liaison and National Chaplain to the FBI for a period of two years.  Following his assignment with the FBI, Reverend Popejoy returned to full time pastoral ministry in 1995 in Minot, North Dakota.  In 1998 he was appointed Administrative Bishop of the North Central Region.  In September of 2002 Jake returned to the Missions Department as Regional Superintendent to South Central Europe which includes Romania, Bulgaria, Austria and Switzerland.

Jake Popejoy’s education and training include undergraduate studies at Lee University,  Cleveland, TN,  Cleveland State Community College, Cleveland, TN,  Langside College in Glasgow,  Scotland and the National Extension College at Cambridge University, England. His Master’s Degree studies were completed at the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee and his Ph.D in  Behavioral Science and Sociology from European Theological Seminary in Birmingham, England.

Dr. Popejoy continues to serve the church through oversight and administrative ministries and in various teaching capacities for the Church of God Chaplains Commission.  Additionally, Jake serves as guest instructor to Church of God denominational schools in Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia and the USA.  At the General Assembly of 2006 Jake was appointed as Field Representative of the North Central Region for Church of God World Missions.

Born September 28,1943 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. I was converted at 11 years old and received the Holy Spirit and called into the Ministry at 14 years of age.

My parents relocated to Michigan where I graduated from Trenton High School, Trenton, Michigan and then attended Lee University and The Church of God School of Theology in Cleveland Tennessee.  I am an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God.

My lovely wife is  the former Beatrice (Bea) Kilgore of Plymouth, Ohio and we have three children and, proud to say, one grand-daughter and one grand-son.

I was in Evangelism for many years and served as a State Evangelist in Missouri, Texas, and Southern and Northern Ohio.

It's also been my privilege to have served in the following Ministerial Areas:  District Youth Director, District Overseer. Supervising Pastor for the MIP, State Bible Institute Instructor, State President of Lee University Alumni, and State Evangelism & Home Missions Board Member.

I have also been a Guest Speaker for: Northern Ohio, West Virginia and Michigan State Prayer & Evangelism Conference, Missouri and Northern Ohio State Camp-Meeting, Lee University Chapel, Michigan World Missions Conference, Chaplain for the Day at Michigan State Senate, and Total Christian Television in Saginaw, Michigan (TCT)

God has blessed me in my service to Him and has allowed me to conduct World Mission Conventions in many countries, including: Thailand, Vietnam, Bulgaria, China, Turkey, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, and Africa.
