The team of teachers at the College considered the idea to start writing a bi-monthly bulletin for the ministers of the COG in Bulgaria. The goal was to offer practical help in the form of sermon outlines, illustrations, theological essays and testimonies for pastors and spiritual leaders. The materials in the bulletin were to help towards the preparation of the preachers and leaders of other local church ministries. Every issue was to offer useful practical information for pastors to enrich their sermon arsenal. The first issue of the bimonthly bulletin called Help for the Minister was printed out and handed freely to all Church of God ministers at the Bulgarian National Ministers’ Gathering in Sofia in March of 2001.

We are aware of the fact, that many of the pastors of the Church of God in Bulgaria need to upgrade their ministerial skills, but most of the time they are busy with their everyday tasks and cannot set aside time for seminars and Bible training. This is why we are preparing and sending to them the bimonthly bulletin free of charge. This bulletin contains only useful information that can be implemented in the ministerial setting.

Every issue is dedicated to a specific topic such as, church administration, faith, Christian discipline, etc. We develop the topic through sermon outlines, theological definitions and biblical essays. The feedback from the ministers encourages us to continue what we have stated and to look for other creative ways to provide quality biblical and theological training.
