The training of the students at the College is aimed at bringing character transformation and developing spiritual discipline. For this reason we put equal emphasis on theory/ academics and practice/ ministry. Both of these aspects are greatly enhanced by the student chapel services that we have every week.
We gather together as the family of God – students, instructors, and staff to worship God, to listen to His Word and to fellowship with each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord. We have time for prayer for needs as well as time for giving testimonies of God’s goodness and mercy. This is an important aspect of our mutual support and uplifting.
Usually the devotion is led by one of the teachers at the College, but sometimes we let students preach and share what they have discovered in the Word of God. Anytime we have a guest lecturer, we let him/ her speak and share with the students and staff. Once every few months we invite a prominent Bulgarian Christian leader/ pastor to impart wisdom on our learning community.
Another form that our student chapel takes once a month is small groups. We divide students, and staff into groups and they meet in more informal settings for devotion and fellowship. Usually this is a time for more personal conversations between teachers and students and a good opportunity for getting to know each other.
Overall, our chapel is a time of spiritual formation, renewal and motivation for ministry. It brings us all closer to God and encourages us to seek Him first in our lives.
