My name is Stoyan Boykov. I am just so happy to be a child of God. And I am thankful to God for sending me to study at the Bulgarian Theological College in Stara Zagora. I was born in the town of Parvomay, and as a teen I was very far away from God, even though a went to church with my mother.
When I graduated high school, I was encouraged by my local pastor to enroll at the College and to learn more about God. I decided to follow his advice and during my three years of study I was totally transformed. My life, my worldview, my values were changed. I learned so many things – how to pray and intercede, how to preach, how to help people – listen to them and offer advice. I learned how to forgive. I really grew up spiritually.
Also I was able to build a closer relationship with God and to trust Him for everything. Without exaggeration I can say that I discovered my meaning of life and my Christina calling. I am so thankful to the people who taught me all this and who helped me in the process of my spiritual maturation, but above all I thank God for His goodness and mercy!

My name is Kostadin Radev. I am from a small village in the northern part of Bulgaria. I accepted Christ as my Savior, when I was 9 years old. Back then I did not have much knowledge about God, but I had a close relationship with Him and my love for God made me bold enough to witness about Him to my classmates and even teachers at school. I sang Christian songs to them, which really touched their hearts and they asked me all the time to sing for them – this was my main witnessing tool. I loved to be in church all the time, instead of playing outside with my peers.
After I graduated from high school I was convinced that I should enroll in a Bible College to study more about God. Soon God arranged it for me to meet two wonderful people – Dinko and Petia Zlatarov who encouraged me to enroll in the CoG Theological College in Stara Zagora. I took a step of faith and became a Bible student. From that moment on my life started changing and I felt that I was changing as well. I learned what a real friendship is and how we could grow together as the family of Christ. My spiritual eyes were opened and I realized that what was impossible for me – was possible for my Savior. I learned so much about the Church, its history and development; I learned how to share the Word of God with people and how to preach; I learned how to take a responsibility and be there for my fellow students. Most importantly, I learned that to be a leader means not to rule, but to humble yourself and serve others.
All this was possible, because the College was there and we were all trained there and prepared to go out and build the Kingdom of God. Ours is the responsibility to make the church stronger and more effective in its witness to the world.

My name is Ivelina Ilieva. I am from the village of Streletc. A few years ago I was prompted by several of my friends to enrol at the Bulgarian Theological College. I myself had a desire to do this – to learn more about God, so that I could serve Him better.
So I was admitted and started studying, but I wanted to be sure that I am doing God’s will, not mine. Today, at the end of my studies I am sure I made the right decision. I received not only knowledge and skills, but also the ability to discern objectively about me and the others around me, to make new friends, and to grow spiritually.
I believe that God will open the right doors for me to serve Him fully. In the meantime I will continue to serve in my local church in Streletc. |

My name is Yovitca Tcanevski. I am from Macedonia.I came to Bulgaria with the only purpose in mind to become a student at the Church of God college in Stara Zagora.
The fact that I was accepted and I completed my studies successfully is a testimony about God’s will for my life. I know now that this was God’s providence for me – to be trained and prepared for the ministry. I received solid education, upon which I could continue to build or even enrol for a master degree.
I believe that the College is a place where you learn a lot of things, but it also changes you and transforms your character. This for me is something very important for everyone who wants to serve for God’s Kingdom and draw people to Christ. |
