The MIP manuals were translated in the Bulgarian language in 1997 by Petia Zlatarova under the supervision of Jonathan Augustine. The first course was taught in 1999 in the town of Puvomai at the Purvomai Church of God. The next year the course was started at the Etropole Church of God. Since then the MIP program has also been conducted in Sliven and Stara Zagora and more than 400 people overall have successfully completed it.
